 James (Jay) Wroblewski

Time with Appletree
I’ve been with Appletree since August of 2008.

Favorite thing about working at Appletree
The philosophy here is much different than any company I have worked for and is my favorite thing about this team. Appletree is truly committed to the employees, and it shows through the various themes, encouraged values like Spirited Fun and Take Care of Each Other, countless dreams granted (even without recognition in some cases), town hall meetings to obtain direct “frontline” input, the list goes on and on.

Hometown - Buffalo, New York

Hobbies
I’m usually lost in a book, or three, delving into the seemingly endless volumes of knowledge left behind by our ancestors. Horticulture is another passion of mine. I spend a lot of time propagating and growing different species of exotic plants as well as food. Although I no longer have the time (or space) to do so, for years my home was a shelter for unwanted animals. Mainly reptiles and amphibians, but I’ve taken in anything from Madagascar “hissing” Cockroaches (they are friendly!) to a Scarlet Macaw.

Sports Teams
My blooming interest in sports ended when I was young.  Thank you to the Buffalo Bills for losing the Super Bowl 4 years in a row. Yes, 4. I’d never seen so many crying adults in my life, and I could never understand why.

Heroes
I admire anyone who lives honorably and is willing to fight, in one regard or another, for virtuous ideals, and justice for all.

Name: Letha Works
Time with Appletree: I’ve been with Appletree since July of 2005 and am the Senior Team Leader here at the Portland site. On a daily basis, I do all of the ‘normal’ team lead duties but also handle most of the customer service for two of Portland’s larger customers, Freeshipping.com and Primo Water.
My favorite core value: It’s a tie between Spirited Fun and Take Care of Each Other. I love the quarterly themes and the fun things that we get to do with them and I also love how family oriented Appletree is!
Hometown: Windham, Maine
About me: I am 22 years old and am the youngest of three children. My sister is 28 and my brother is 27. I love New England sports… Sox, Pats, Celts, and Bruins. I consider Fenway Park and Gillette Stadium to be two of the best places I’ve ever been. I like going to the beach and it doesn’t matter what time of year it is.  I’m addicted to iTunes, American Idol, my iPod, road trips, and the History Channel.
Hero: My hero is my grandfather. He passed away in 2006 but he worked so hard his whole life to give his family what they needed and then some. His work ethic and kindness can never be matched.

Favorite Core Value – Take care of each other. It’s so great to be surrounded with people that care about you.  Knowing that if and when help is needed its always going to be there.
Hometown: Buena Park CA
Free Time: Going to Angel games with my kids. I just spend time with friends and family.
Hobbies: Crocheting, Dancing and collecting “I Love Lucy” Memorabilia.
Heroes:  My mom is my hero. My mom worked so hard to raise us and always made sure we were well taken care of. She has taught me to be responsible and to never give up no matter what challenges I am faced with.
About me: I grew up in Buena Park CA. I have 4 brothers, two older and two younger and one sister. I went to school in the city of Anaheim. I was a cheerleader for 7 years starting at the age of 7 and also attended ballet, gymnastics and dance class.
I am a single parent and I now live in Anaheim with my beautiful daughter AnnaMarie who is 22 yrs old and my son Michael who just turned 11. My kids are everything to me. We attend church together every Saturday afternoon or Sunday morning in Fullerton. I am blessed with great kids and I am so proud to be a part of the family here at Appletree.
