Idea Exchange Kick Off - Wednesday, October 15, 2008

In an effort to bridge the gap with communication, Appletree is happy to announce the Idea Exchange.  The Idea Exchange is a forum in which every employee at Appletree has a voice.  Whether it be implementing new Employee Recognition Programs, Educating the company on ways we can become more Environmentally Friendly, offering suggestions on our Employee Benefits or simply how and what you want to be Educated on...

The new Core Value... 

is simply AWESOME!!!!!  I love the little tree, maybe it is the old education major in me, but I think it is adorable!   Plus I am such a prankster, I am so looking forward to some spirited fun around here! I think it is a great idea to work on making the work enviroment more fun and exciting. Also I enjoyed the kick off video very much, and I appreciate John continuing to assure us that as a company we are still doing well. Alot of the companies we talk to are just slowing down so much, and it gets a little scarey sometimes. But I think it is great that as a company we get reports on the both the accounts we lose and those that we are gaining.

The  thing that I try to do for my family here in San Juan might seem small, but  have a great effect to keep that spirited fun.  Every month I put out a calendar that they get for their workstation.  Its has three things on the calendar. 1- Words of wisdom that usually have something do with our core values.  2- I Funny joke or picture.  3- A message of customer service values.  This may seem like nothing, but a word of wisdon or a joke at a time of need goes a long way.  I hope that this can spread thru the tree.  It does have to be a calendar, but anytihing to keep the morale up with the right attitude.
