Houma has a customer who runs a wrecker service. The owner is a little gruff and rough around the edges. He's a very sweet person actually, just has a very short temper and can be intimidating. When my roommate's car broke down I called them to do the tow. I ended up getting a great discount, and actually hung out there for almost an hour getting to know them and laughing. After that everytime they would call to check out we always ended up laughing. During the overnights I always shared a good laugh with the overnight dispatch and I also had a great report built with the staff!
Another great time was with one of our customers who recieves a daily wake up call. At first it started off as a joke that he wanted a cup of coffee with his wake up call, from there it became the super duper deluxe extra special wake up call, and so on and so on. After a while it then became a wake up call with a daily joke. He loved it and started requesting that I be the one to wake him up!!! It was great to know that I was the reason someone was waking up with a smile on their face, and either I was ending my overnight shift or just starting my morning shift with laughter as well. Not only was it fun, but it helped make it seem like he wasn't just a customer, but a friend too!
